The imbalance of the hormone causes the body to retaliate with a panic attack.

Anxiety; the state of anxiety is very common in pregnant women. At the beginning of the pregnancy, you are jubilant with bringing a new life into the world. As time goes by, it dawns on you that it is a harder task and responsibility than you previously thought. Such thoughts cause over thinking and anxiety.

A history of Panic attacks; If you had panic attacks before you were pregnant, it is likely that you may suffer from them while pregnant as well. This is a more of a physiological state of mind than anything else is, as you only assume that it will definitely happen to you.

History in your family; it is more likely that you may suffer from the disorder if another family member has previously suffered from it. The reason for this is that, your genetic makeup is similar to your relatives, and whatever genetic trait that caused the ailment to your family may cause it to you. The mentality that; since your family has a history of the disorder, it is automatic that you get it too, may also play a significant role.

Age; most women get pregnant during a period in their life when they are most active and successful in terms of career goals and career objectives. In an ideal scenario, this is the best time to get pregnant, but the reality is, this is also your most stressful life period. Getting the right balance may prove very elusive.

Phobia; tokophobia, the fear of pregnancy, and the fear of parenthood can also cause the disorder. Some people may not even realize that they have such fears until they get pregnant. Other forms of fears are also contributing factors to the ailment. Fear is a primary cause of such attacks.

Exercise; exercising while pregnant, is crucial, it can help you balance out your hormones. Exercising is also a good outlet for letting go of your anxiety and anger. Exercising is very healthy for the baby; you will have a much smoother delivery, as a result.

Therapy; getting treatment can help you feel less anxious, sometimes you just need someone to talk to. There are different kinds of treatment; it is advisable that you get one that works for you. Therapy helps relieve stress and pressure.
